What is OsmO?

OsmO is an AI phone assistant for iPhone and Android that answers unknown calls, silences spam, takes messages, books appointments, and makes outbound calls for you. It works through your carrier's call forwarding and can use a clone of your own voice.

OsmO is a mobile AI phone assistant that answers calls you do not want to take yourself. It picks up unknown numbers, asks who is calling and why, then either handles the conversation with your instructions, takes a message, or routes the call to you. Spam callers get silenced. It works through your existing carrier number using call forwarding, so you keep your line and do not need a second SIM. For individuals, OsmO functions as a personal gatekeeper. You set rules once (family rings straight through, unknown numbers get the assistant first, telemarketers never ring again, after 9 PM messages are taken) and the assistant enforces them on every call. It can speak in a studio voice such as Caroline or Jonathan, or in a clone of your own voice created from a short recording. You can also use it to make outbound calls: tell OsmO which business to reach and why, and it navigates phone menus, waits on hold, and rings your phone when a human agent is ready. Every call produces a summary and transcript. For small businesses, OsmO behaves like a front desk. You feed it your website, service PDFs, Google Drive and Google Docs files, Google Sheets, your Google Maps listing, and typed notes. It answers customer questions from that material or from your rules (for example, never quote prices), checks service areas, books appointments into Google Calendar or Calendly, and texts you a summary and transcript seconds after the call ends. The assistant is available as a free download on iPhone and Android. It speaks English, Spanish, and Hindi today, with French and German listed as coming soon, and it operates in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, India, and Canada. Compared with a basic voicemail or a carrier spam filter, OsmO holds a real conversation and takes action; compared with a human answering service, it is self-managed and far cheaper, but its judgment depends on how well you prepare its sources and rules.
