Learn moreAn AI that phones US businesses from Google Maps and reports back

Callio is an iOS and Android app that calls US businesses found on Google Maps, works through phone menus and hold, asks the user's questions, and returns a summary in English, Spanish or Chinese with the full transcript.
Callio is a mobile app that makes phone calls to local businesses in the United States so the user does not have to. The user finds a place inside the app, or shares it from Google Maps, and describes the task in a sentence: book a table, check whether an item is in stock, confirm opening hours or ask about a price. Callio drafts the request for review, and nothing is dialed until the user confirms. Once approved, the assistant calls the business in English and deals with the parts of a phone call people tend to avoid. It moves through recorded menus, waits on hold, handles transfers, spells names, confirms times and decides whether to leave a voicemail. It identifies itself as an AI when asked, and states so up front on booking calls. Afterward the user receives a summary with key details such as times, prices and availability, written in English, Spanish or Chinese, along with the full English transcript. Calls come from a dedicated Callio line, so the user's own number is not shown as caller ID. A number is passed on only for bookings where the business asks for one. The product is deliberately narrow. It does not answer incoming calls, phone personal contacts, act as a receptionist, or call customer-service hotlines, government lines and systems that ask for an account number. This focus means there is nothing to configure: no voice to pick, no script to write, no agent to train. It suits people who dread the phone, those more comfortable in Spanish or Chinese than English, Deaf, hard-of-hearing and speech-impaired callers who want a text-only route, and anyone who would rather not spend minutes on hold. Compared with general-purpose voice agent platforms that require building and tuning a flow, Callio trades flexibility for a ready-made consumer experience. A free Playground feature rings the user's own verified phone so they can play the business and hear the assistant before paying, while real calls to businesses require a Premium subscription billed through the app store.
