SpicyChat is a web-based character chat platform built for adults aged 18 and over who want uncensored roleplay with NSFW AI characters. Instead of opening on a blank prompt box, it opens on a browsable library of community-made personas. The homepage reports more than 379,000 characters in the catalog, with a Trending view and a "For You" row to surface suggestions. Each character card carries an avatar, a name, the creator's handle, a one-line scenario premise and a set of tag chips. Premises tend to be short story hooks, such as a rival who becomes a partner, a husband in a bad mood or a haunted-house encounter. Cards also show engagement figures, and many display a percentage score. The tag system is the main navigation tool: a visitor can narrow results by genre (Romantic, Fantasy, Horror, Anime, Comedy, Sci-Fi), by role (Dominant, Submissive, Gentle Dom, Friend, Partner), by perspective (MalePOV, FemalePOV) and by orientation labels such as LGBTQ+, MLM and WLW. Extra filters cover features, definition size, language and group size, which helps with multi-character scenarios and non-English chats. In practice, a user creates a free account, picks a character and starts a conversation on that character's chat page, while a separate info page describes the persona. Creators have public profile pages listing their work, so the library is driven by user submissions rather than a fixed roster. A Get Premium option sits in the header, and an interface language selector is available. The platform sits in the crowded niche of companion and roleplay chat services, competing on catalog breadth and tag-based discovery more than on a single flagship persona. Quality varies as a result: the tag list itself includes a "Low Quality" label applied to tens of thousands of characters, so finding strong characters takes some filtering. Anyone who wants a general-purpose assistant, or who is under 18, is outside its audience.
