What is Teleplay?

Teleplay turns a one sentence idea into a playable 2D browser game in minutes, with bot play-testing, live sliders for tuning speed, jump and health, chat based edits and art redraws in the game's own style.

Teleplay is a browser based game maker that takes a single written sentence and returns a playable 2D game. You describe an idea (the site's own example is a frog hopping between lily pads while dodging dragonflies), and a few minutes later the game exists on its own page with art made for it and sound built in. Nothing is installed and no code is written at any point. The library on the homepage shows what the engine can build lately: platformers, shoot em ups, a metroidvania, a match 3, tower defense, a card battler, an idle clicker, a rhythm game, a cozy fishing game and a physics stacking game, among eighteen playable titles. The workflow is deliberately narrow. You type the sentence, the system builds the game, a bot play-tests it so it works when opened, and then you play it in the browser. From there the page splits into play and adjustment: a settings panel sits beside a running game with sliders for speed, jump power, health and colours, and a Reload button restarts the game on the new numbers. Larger changes go through chat. You ask for a second level or a harder difficulty and Teleplay rebuilds the game, tests it again, and keeps an Undo that reverts to the previous build. Individual pictures can be redrawn the same way: pick a character or object, describe the change (a red scarf, for instance), and a replacement is drawn in the game's existing style and placed where the old art was. This is aimed at people with an idea and no toolchain: hobbyists, teachers, streamers looking for quick novelty, and designers who want to test whether a mechanic is fun before committing to an engine. It is not a general purpose engine. Everything is 2D and browser based, the visual style is generated rather than imported, and there is no mention of exporting a project or scripting on top of it. Compared with no code engines such as construct style tools, Teleplay removes the assembly step entirely, trading control over assets, physics and logic for speed. Compared with chat based coding assistants, it hands back a finished game with a tested build rather than source code. Games can be shared by link, and the discover page mixes them for browsing. The homepage does not publish pricing, plan structure, export options or a public API, so those remain open questions for anyone planning to use it beyond casual prototyping.

How do you use Teleplay?

  1. 1Write your one sentence idea
Open the create page and describe the game in a single sentence, the way the site's frog and lily pad example does. Keep it to one clear mechanic and setting to start.
  2. 2Let the build and play-test finish
Teleplay builds the game with its own art and sound, then a bot plays it to check it works. Wait for the ready state before opening it.
  3. 3Play it in the browser
Your game gets its own play page and runs in the browser with nothing to install. Give it a run to see whether the mechanic reads the way you intended.
  4. 4Tune the numbers beside the game
Open the settings panel next to the running game, move the sliders for speed, jump power, health and colours, then press Reload to restart on the new values.
  5. 5Request bigger changes by chat
Ask the studio for structural changes such as an extra level or higher difficulty. The game is rebuilt and retested before going live, and Undo reverts it.
  6. 6Redraw art and share the result
Pick any character or object, describe the change you want, and a new version is drawn in the game's style. Browse the discover page to see how others share finished games.
