Learn moreAustralian tender and contract award data inside ChatGPT and Claude

AskTender is an analytics tool. AskTender brings every Australian government tender and 420,000+ past contract awards into ChatGPT, Claude or its own chat box, so suppliers can check incumbents and prices before bidding. Flat monthly plan with 10 free questions.
AskTender is a procurement intelligence service that pulls Australian government tenders into an AI assistant. It aggregates the federal AusTender portal and the state and territory buying portals into one normalised feed, then pairs live opportunities with a historical archive of more than 420,000 contract award notices. The aim is to let a supplier judge a tender before investing time in a response, by checking who won comparable work previously, which agency bought it and at what price. The service is built for small and mid-sized suppliers, bid managers, consultancies and sales teams that sell to government. Instead of a dashboard, the main interface is a question box on the homepage. A user can type something like whether an incumbent is likely to hold a contract, or ask for a buyer's spend and its usual suppliers, and receive an answer drawn from live tender and award records. Signing in raises the free question limit. Those who want the data in their own workflow can connect it to ChatGPT or Claude using setup guides, and the site says Copilot and other AI tools are also supported, with direct developer access available. Practically, each search, tender detail view or award lookup counts as a backend request against a monthly fair-use allowance. Saved watches and morning briefings cover ongoing monitoring, and new tenders are said to reach the assistant within about 15 minutes of publication. Public pages list award totals by category, buyer and supplier, which doubles as a research resource, alongside guides on finding tenders, the bid or no-bid decision and writing responses. Among alternatives, AskTender competes with traditional tender alert subscriptions that email daily digests and with manual searching of each portal. Its distinguishing feature is the conversational layer over award history. The standard plan covers internal business use only, so consultancies and platforms that resell or redistribute data need a separate enterprise licence. South Australia is not yet part of the standard coverage.
