What is gtm-api?

gtm-api is a LinkedIn API and MCP server that lets AI agents and backends search, connect, message and enrich through users' own accounts, each running in an isolated cloud browser with a dedicated proxy and smart limits.

gtm-api is an account-based LinkedIn API built around the Model Context Protocol. LinkedIn's official API offers no endpoints for invitations, member direct messages or people search, so the service takes a different route: users connect their own LinkedIn accounts, and those accounts are driven through a single typed contract. AI agents use MCP tools, while backend code calls REST endpoints and listens for webhooks. The endpoint catalog is grouped into four areas. Messaging covers standard and Sales Navigator messages, connection requests, and listing conversations and messages. Scraping covers people search, post search, post reactors, post commenters and scheduled auto-scrapes. Enrichment returns full person profiles, contact info, person posts, company profiles and company posts. An infrastructure group exposes smart limits, account snapshots, an activity log and cloud browser access. Classic, Sales Navigator and Recruiter accounts are listed as supported. In practice, each connected account runs in its own isolated cloud browser with a dedicated residential proxy and a stable browser profile. Only one session is active per account at a time, and warm-up curves begin at 10-15 invites per day, with per-channel limits that cannot be overrun. The vendor reports more than 20,000 accounts on the stack, with fewer than 1% ever restricted, though that figure is its own claim. Setup is meant to be quick: an API key, a copied snippet, or an npx command for the MCP package, with one-click installs for Cursor and VS Code and connection guides for Claude, ChatGPT, LangChain, n8n and the OpenAI Agents SDK. Make, Zapier and Windmill work through the REST API. The audience is GTM engineers, AI SDR builders, agencies onboarding clients through OAuth, platforms adding LinkedIn as a channel, and account providers managing fleets. Compared with desktop-extension automation tools, it is developer infrastructure rather than a campaign UI. Email, messengers and calendars are marked as coming soon, so LinkedIn is the only live channel today.
