Meridian Realms AI is an AI character chat tool. A worldbuilding and roleplay platform where AI characters keep long term memories, track evolving relationships and hold consistent knowledge across scenes. Worlds come from a free public catalogue or are drafted from a short prompt, with group threads, parallel continuities and in-scene image generation.
Meridian Realms is a browser based roleplay platform built around persistent character memory. Instead of resetting after each conversation, characters keep a record of what happened to them, who was present, and how those events felt. The homepage example shows an admiral recalling a crate of oranges delivered on day one and mentioning it again on day twenty seven, which is the core promise: continuity that survives weeks or months of story time. The workflow has three parts. You begin in a shared world from the public catalogue, which covers genres such as space fantasy, cyberpunk, high fantasy, survival horror and contemporary realism, or you draft your own by describing a place, picking a genre and adding tags. The system then proposes a history, factions, key locations and a cast with their own pasts and goals, all of which you can edit or build by hand. From there you choose your character and the characters you play alongside, then talk, narrate or direct the scene. A Quick Start option generates a world, a character and your identity from a genre and as little as one sentence. Under the surface, several systems run without configuration. Relationships track trust, warmth, respect, familiarity and tension, and evolve into labels such as Stranger, Confidant or Rival. A scene planner records what is true right now, including location, time, appearance and objects, with certainty and visibility attached so secrets stay hidden until a character learns them. Group chats let a cast share one thread while a narrator fills the gaps, and continuities allow parallel timelines in the same world without memories leaking between them. It suits writers, tabletop players and hobbyist storytellers who want long form narrative rather than single session chat. Image generation for scenes and a gallery with folders round it out. Group chats and continuities sit behind the Premium tier, while the catalogue worlds are free to copy. Compared with general purpose companion chatbots, the emphasis here is on authored worlds and a structured cast rather than one-on-one affection.
