ShopChief is an AI agent workspace built for global e-commerce sellers. Rather than acting as a standalone chatbot, it connects to an AI client the seller already uses, such as Codex, Claude Code or WorkBuddy, and adds commerce skills, store context and execution on top. The result is a working environment for product research, store design, SEO and GEO, image and video creation, advertising and daily store operations. Setup is handled through a copy-and-paste instruction block. The seller picks a client, pastes the instructions, and the agent configures a remote MCP connection with browser-based OAuth, then installs a base Skill. Stores and permissions are confirmed in the browser, and the agent is told to verify the connection with two free read-only tools before doing any real work. From there, tasks run against an explicitly chosen store. In practice, the product is organized around built-in Skills, which are workflows for competitor research, Shopify product launches, theme studio, SEO and GEO blog writing, margin analysis and cart abandonment recovery. A seller can ask whether a product is worth selling and get demand, competition, review gaps and a margin model, or turn one product photo into white-background images, lifestyle concepts and short videos. Once connectors are authorized (Shopify, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Gmail, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and others), ShopChief reads that data, drafts assets, updates records and completes approved platform actions within permissions. Scheduled automation can run recurring checks such as ad spend anomalies, product page reviews and low inventory alerts. Compared with general-purpose assistants like ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, which need files and connectors assembled by the user, ShopChief supplies commerce workflows and store context out of the box, along with team permissions and execution records. It suits independent brands, DTC teams, product operations and small launch teams who want one place to plan, create and act, while keeping approval over changes to a live store.
