Learn moreOpen platform to build, secure, observe and govern enterprise AI agents
WSO2 Agent Platform is an open, vendor-neutral suite for building, securing, operating and governing enterprise AI agents, combining Agent Manager, an AI Gateway, Agent ID and low-code integration tooling, deployable self-hosted or as SaaS.
WSO2 Agent Platform is a set of enterprise products aimed at getting AI agents out of the proof-of-concept stage and into dependable production use. The pitch rests on a simple observation: agents are applications with dynamic logic and broad access, so the traffic, identity, testing and governance practices built for deterministic software no longer cover them. The platform extends existing enterprise stacks to treat agents, models, tools and context as native components rather than a separate parallel fabric. The offering is split into four parts that map to the agent lifecycle. WSO2 Agent Manager handles running, governing, observing, evaluating and securing agents across any framework or deployment, and is built on open source and open standards. The AI Gateway, part of the WSO2 API Platform, applies guardrails, tracks usage, helps control costs and can expose existing APIs as MCP tools so agents reach enterprise data under one governance model. Agent ID, part of the WSO2 Identity Platform, registers agents as first-class identities with authentication, authorization, auditing, delegation policies and instant revocation, and it can secure MCP servers. For building, the WSO2 Integration Platform offers low-code and pro-code development of agents, RAG pipelines and AI workflows with connectors to data, APIs and MCP servers. The audience is platform teams, security architects and integration engineers in larger organizations that must balance the value of agents against risk. Deployment is flexible: self-hosted on bare metal, VMs, Docker or Kubernetes, including air-gapped environments, or consumed as SaaS through Choreo and WSO2 cloud offerings, which the site backs with a 99.99% SLA. Among alternatives, it competes with standalone agent observability tools, LLM gateways and identity vendors by bundling all three concerns with an open, vendor-neutral stance on models, frameworks and data residency. Teams wanting a single lightweight agent builder may find it broader than needed, since the value lies in governance across the whole estate.
