Learn moreAn AI architect that interviews you and drafts a four-file spec for coding agents

MySpec is a coding tool. MySpec interviews you about a rough idea and generates a four-file spec bundle (constitution, requirements, solution, tasks) for AI coding agents such as Cursor and Claude Code, exportable by ZIP or MCP. Currently in open beta.
MySpec is a spec-driven development tool that sits between a rough product idea and an AI coding agent. Instead of prompting Cursor, Claude Code or Windsurf directly and hoping the context holds, the user first produces a written specification bundle, then points the agent at it. The bundle has four markdown files: constitution.md for the non-negotiable rules, requirements.md for what gets built, solution.md for how it works, and tasks.md for the plan. The process starts with a pasted paragraph, Slack thread or voice note. An analyst agent extracts the shape of the problem, then runs a structured interview of roughly five to fifteen questions covering scope, users, flows and edge cases. From those answers the four files are rendered live in the browser, with Mermaid diagrams, acceptance criteria written in an EARS+ style, and plain-English chat edits that keep the files consistent with one another. Versioned diffs track changes over time. Handoff is flexible. The bundle can be downloaded as a ZIP and dropped into a .specs/ folder, or an agent can read it through the MySpec MCP server, including an HTTP server for hosted agents. The roadmap lists brownfield workflows (a proposal plus requirements delta, with OpenSpec-compatible changes), a Spec Kit-compatible greenfield flow, organizations with invitations, personal API tokens for unattended MCP use, public share links and custom skills. The audience is developers, technical founders and engineering leads who already use AI coding assistants and want fewer regressions and invented APIs. Teams get shared projects and roles. Among alternatives, it competes less with code generators than with ad hoc prompt files and hand-written requirement documents, offering a guided interview in place of a blank page. The site is in open beta, with the free tier available without a card and paid pricing expected at general availability. Performance figures on the page come from the vendor and testimonials, so they should be read as claims rather than independent measurements.
