What is SciVolume?

SciVolume is an AI book-writing workspace that turns a title into an outline, a cited full draft, figures, an optional translation and a Word or LaTeX manuscript, with an audit report that checks every citation against its source.

SciVolume is a writing workspace for long-form non-fiction: scholarly monographs, textbooks, professional handbooks and popular science. A project starts from a title, optionally backed by uploaded papers, lecture notes or an existing manuscript. The workspace proposes an outline, and once the author confirms it, chapters are written in order in the background, with an email sent when the draft is complete. The main design choice is traceability. While drafting, the tool searches scholarly indexes and cites only works that exist there or in the uploaded materials. Afterwards, a citation audit compares each reference with the original passage and labels it as supported, not in source or contradicted, with a link back to the sentence. Paragraphs written from the author's own materials carry a source mark so they can be read beside the underlying text. A whole-book check looks for terminology variants and contradictions, and numbering for figures, tables and equations follows any chapter reordering. In practice, the editor puts chapters on the left, text in the centre and an assistant on the right. Suggested edits appear as a comparison that the author replaces or discards. Citation styles include APA, Chicago, MLA, Harvard, IEEE, Nature and GB/T 7714, and switching never breaks a reference. Figures, diagrams, equations, tables and covers can be generated from a written description, with three candidates offered per figure. A translated edition can be produced as a separate manuscript aligned paragraph by paragraph, and the final book exports as Word or LaTeX packages. Among alternatives, it sits between general chatbots, which write fluently but leave citation checking to the user, and reference managers or manuscript editors that do not draft. It suits researchers turning a dissertation or papers into a book, instructors building a course text with objectives, summaries and exercises, and professionals compiling internal handbooks. A free tier only offers a read-only sample book, so real use requires a paid, credit-based plan.
