Thumix AI is a design tool. Thumix is a web studio that recreates viral YouTube thumbnail styles using a creator's own face and topic. It combines inspiration tools, templates, a chat design agent and an AI canvas, sold through one-time credit packs rather than a subscription.
Thumix is a browser-based thumbnail maker aimed at YouTube creators who want a proven visual style without learning design software. Its central idea is style transfer: the user points the tool at a viral thumbnail or video, and it rebuilds that look around their own face, subject and wording. The same studio also produces covers for other platforms, with template categories such as food, workout, travel, tech, music, study, blog and magazine. The workflow is split into three modes. Inspire covers the research side, with a YouTube inspiration tool that works from existing videos, a style reference tool that extracts a look from images, and a gallery of viral thumbnails. Create handles generation, either from built-in templates with a variable system, from popular named styles, or from scratch through a chat-based design agent. Edit opens an AI canvas where changes are made in plain language, alongside text and layer controls. Generated images stay in a history view for three days, so downloads need to happen promptly. Creators are grouped by niche, with dedicated generators for gaming, vlogs and lifestyle, education, tech reviews, business and finance, and health and beauty. Each one leans on a different visual convention, such as high-contrast gaming layouts or clean text hierarchies for tutorials. Several image models are selectable, from a lightweight default to higher-fidelity options, and each model charges a different number of credits per image. Pricing departs from the usual subscription pattern. Credits are sold in one-time packs that do not expire, commercial use is included, and a Google sign-in grants a small free allowance, enough for about one thumbnail. That suits occasional or weekly uploaders, and teams can buy the largest pack for multiple channels. Compared with general design suites such as Canva, Thumix is narrower and more opinionated about click-through style. Compared with raw image generators, it adds templates, reference extraction and editing in one place, at the cost of flexibility outside thumbnails.
