What is ASOFAST?

ASOFAST is a free, MIT-licensed, self-hosted dashboard that generates App Store and Google Play metadata, keywords, translations in 80+ languages and screenshot templates using your own AI API key.

ASOFAST is an open source app store optimization tool that runs as a local dashboard. It drafts the text and visuals that make up a store listing for iOS and Android apps: titles, subtitles, keywords, descriptions, translations and marketing screenshots. Output is tuned to each store's character limits, and listings can be produced in more than 80 languages. The tool is aimed at indie developers and small product teams who want to handle ASO in-house instead of paying an agency. Because it is self-hosted and released under the MIT license, the code can be forked and extended. Listing data, analytics and store credentials stay on the user's own machine, and no inference passes through the vendor's servers. In practice, a user points ASOFAST at an existing App Store or Google Play listing, or starts from an app name and category. Content is then generated with the user's own AI API key and brand voice, so model choice and cost remain under the user's control. Up to five competing apps per store can be referenced so the generated metadata and screenshots fit the market. A focused editor shows how each field will look before publishing. The screenshot generator takes raw captures and frames them for iPhone, iPad, Android phones and Android tablets in the sizes each store requires. A submission checklist covers launch preparation, and finished listings can be pushed to App Store Connect and Google Play Console from the dashboard or exported for a team to review. Among alternatives, hosted ASO platforms usually charge subscriptions and keep data in their cloud, while ASOFAST charges nothing and asks only that the user pay for the API calls they choose to make. The tradeoff is setup work: it is installed from GitHub rather than signed up for, and support runs through the repository's issue tracker. It suits teams comfortable with a local developer workflow who care most about localization speed, cost control and data ownership.

How do you use ASOFAST?

  1. 1Clone the repository
Get the code from the AsoFast GitHub repository and install it on your own machine, since the dashboard runs locally.
  2. 2Add your AI API key
Enter the API key you want to use for generation. This sets which model is used and keeps costs and data under your control.
  3. 3Connect your app
Point the dashboard to an existing App Store or Google Play listing, or start from scratch with an app name and category. Add up to 5 competing apps for context.
  4. 4Generate and review content
Draft titles, keywords, descriptions, translations and screenshot layouts, then edit each field and preview how it will appear in the store.
  5. 5Publish or export
Upload raw screenshots to be framed for each device size, work through the submission checklist, then push to the stores or export assets for your team.
