Movie Maker Edit is a generative video tool that turns a folder of AI or camcorder clips into one finished movie. Movie Maker Edit assembles a folder of clips into one finished movie with an Autoproduce button.
Movie Maker Edit is a video assembly tool built around one job: take a folder of clips that already exist and return a single finished, exported movie. It does not care about origin. Short 6 to 15 second clips from generators such as Grok Imagine and Gemini Veo work, and so do phone footage and old camcorder tapes, since the desktop edition decodes archival codecs through native FFmpeg. It ships in two editions. The free Web Edition runs in a modern browser on Windows, Mac, iPad and Android with no install, no account, no watermark and no export limit. It covers importing in nearly any format, trimming with resealed cuts, blur or hard cut transitions, keeping, replacing or mixing the soundtrack, choosing resolution and aspect ratio, previewing, and exporting MP4 or MOV. Pro, the Windows desktop edition, is a one-time $149.99 purchase. It sends encodes to the NVIDIA, Intel or AMD hardware encoder and streams to disk, so long films and files past 20GB are practical. Both editions share a project format, so work begun in a browser can be finished in Pro. In practice, the user points the app at a folder and presses Autoproduce. It orders the clips by filename, builds filmstrips, applies transitions, renders, and levels audio to -16 LUFS, writing state before each stage so an interrupted run resumes. Anyone who prefers manual control can follow sixteen numbered steps. Five optional AI features, clip review, movie review, narration, spoken voice and burned-in captions, run on the user's own xAI or Google key, billed directly by those providers, with a price quoted before each job. Against general editors, it trades timeline flexibility for speed and automation on large batches of short clips. It suits creators assembling AI-generated films, archivists with old family video, and anyone who wants a finished cut without learning editing. Projects stay in real folders on the user's device, so footage is not uploaded.
