What is NarraCut?

NarraCut is a text-to-video tool that turns a script and images into a narrated, captioned MP4. NarraCut is a web tool that converts a script and images into a narrated explainer video with AI voiceover, word-level captions and automatically timed visuals, previewed in three aspect ratios and exported as MP4.

NarraCut is a browser-based video maker that turns a written script and a set of visuals into a finished narrated video. The user supplies the words, either pasted as final narration or drafted from a topic with AI writing, and the tool produces the voiceover, word-level captions, image timing and a previewable composition. The result exports as an H.264 MP4 directly from the browser, with no camera, microphone or manual timeline involved. The workflow is short. A script goes into the editor, a ratio (landscape 16:9, vertical 9:16 or square 1:1) and a voice are chosen, and images are either uploaded or left empty so AI can generate them. For generated visuals, the user picks an image count and a style such as editorial, photorealistic, illustration, 3D or minimal, and the script is split into consecutive sections with one visual concept each. A single Generate action creates the voice, timing and visuals, and the preview can then be played through. With uploaded images, selecting part of the script lets the user swap the picture shown for those words. Timing is the core idea. The generated voiceover becomes the clock for the whole video: it is transcribed into a word-level timeline, captions follow the spoken words, and the visual matcher places each image against the passage it best supports instead of rotating on a fixed timer. If semantic matching is unavailable, images fall back to their original order so the video still completes. The tool suits faceless short-form creators, commentary writers, founders producing product updates, publishers repurposing articles, social teams publishing in several formats, and agencies running repeatable client work. Beyond the main generator, the site offers separate tools for script-to-video with own images, whiteboard-style line-drawing animation, adding voiceover to existing footage, photo slideshows and text overlays. Compared with a general timeline editor, NarraCut trades fine manual control for speed, and compared with fully generative video tools it keeps the user's own script and images as the source material.
