What is Clivio?
Clivio is an AI document organizer that reads invoices, contracts, leases and photos, gives each a clear title and summary, tracks due dates and answers questions with quoted passages. A free plan covers 50 documents.
Clivio is a document organizer that reads the files you give it instead of just storing them. Drop in an invoice, a contract, a lease or class notes as a PDF, Word file, spreadsheet or phone photo, and it assigns a readable title, identifies the document type, writes a short summary and picks out dates, amounts and due dates. The document then lands in a smart folder, and a graph shows how documents, organizations, people and tasks connect. In practice the workflow has three steps. Files arrive by drag and drop, by forwarding an email to a personal Clivio address, by photographing a receipt or by importing from Google Drive or Dropbox. Clivio reads and files them, then feeds what it found into a calendar, a task list and a beta finance module that turns receipts into expenses awaiting approval. Retrieval works in plain language: a search such as "insurance this year" replaces guessing a file name, and questions about a lease or a set of slides return an answer that quotes the passage it came from. Files up to 25 MB are accepted, scans and photos included. The audience is people without anyone to do their filing: freelancers, small businesses, students and households. Pro adds AI writing from your own documents, a PDF editor, e-signature, a client portal for collecting paperwork, and read-only access for an accountant. French businesses get specific attention, since Clivio reads the embedded XML of Factur-X e-invoices so amounts and VAT arrive as issued. It states clearly that it is not an accredited e-invoicing platform and only files what such a platform sends. Several free browser tools handle invoice reading, conversion and bulk renaming locally. Compared with Google Drive or Dropbox, which store files, Clivio is closer to an AI-first records tool.
