ComicInk is a generative video tool that turns story prompts into printable comics and narrated short films. ComicInk is a web studio that converts story prompts into print-ready comic issues and multi-scene narrated films, with locked characters, 24 art styles, 22 languages, an AI assistant and a built-in storefront for selling issues.
ComicInk is a browser-based studio that turns written prompts, outlines or finished chapters into printable comic issues and, since version 5.0, narrated short films. The homepage studio asks for a story prompt of up to 500 characters, a language and an art style, then generates either a comic or a video from that same input. Creators can start without a card and see finished work before spending anything. The central idea is consistency. Characters, props and locations are defined once and held steady across pages, issues and film scenes, which targets the drifting faces and costume swaps common in general image generators. There are twelve comic styles and twelve video styles, and dialogue and narration can be produced in 22 languages. Series can run to unlimited issues. On the video side, a story is broken into scenes and shots (up to 16 per script), each of which can be re-rendered alone, with captions, music, spoken dialogue and 720p export in the editor. An in-app assistant called Sidekick writes scripts, adds cast members and edits pages from plain sentences, and finished comics can be converted into moving versions that reuse their existing panels and palette. The tool suits independent comic makers, educators, parents building family stories and writers who want a publishing outlet as well as a generator. Showcase issues on the homepage range from science explainers to children's tales in several languages. Publishing is built in: a branded storefront on a subdomain, free, preview or paid access per issue, a native iOS reader for fans and a stated 70 percent creator share. Among alternatives, general image and video generators handle single shots, while ComicInk is narrower and bundles story structure, lettering, series memory and distribution. The tradeoff is cost: film scenes consume roughly 1,500 credits each, so video-heavy projects burn credits far faster than comic pages.
