What is Explainium?

Explainium is an imagine explainers tool. An animation engine built for AI agents: connect ChatGPT, Claude or a coding agent, paste a script or notes, and get a clean animated explainer with charts, diagrams and text timed to music. You steer it with plain-language change requests and export MP4 in 16:9 or 9:16, free and without a watermark.

Explainium is an animation engine and studio addressed to AI agents rather than to human editors. Instead of learning a timeline tool or filling in a template, you hand an agent a script, a set of notes or a link, and it returns a finished animated video with text, charts and diagrams timed to music. It runs as an MCP connector inside ChatGPT and Claude, and as a skill for coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and GitHub Copilot. The thinking is done on the AI subscription you already pay for; Explainium supplies the rendering. The product is aimed at people who need to explain something on screen but do not work in video: product marketers shipping update videos, founders and consultants turning decks into motion, internal teams producing training and onboarding clips, and social creators who want vertical content without an editor. The workflow is deliberately conversational. The agent plans scenes into a storyboard, builds the animation, previews its own frames and repairs problems such as overlapping labels or text running off screen before you see a draft. Follow-up requests are surgical: ask for a slower intro or a green chart and only those scenes change, which is the core claim separating it from clip-based generative video and from manual editing. Output is MP4 in landscape 16:9 or vertical 9:16, free of watermarks, with on-screen typography designed to stay readable at phone size and in any language. There is no voiceover yet, so narration is carried by music and text. Brand logos, colours and images can be passed to the agent or dropped into the Studio, and credits only buy licensed stock photos and icons at export time. Relative to the crowded text-to-video field, Explainium is narrower and more controllable: it makes explainers, not cinematic footage. It also replaces the older template-based Explainium, which remains reachable as a legacy app, and any code-inclined user can inspect and edit what the engine produces.

How do you use Explainium?

  1. 1Connect your AI
Choose ChatGPT or Claude to add Explainium as an MCP connector with a single URL, or install the skill in Claude Code, Codex or Cursor. You sign in once during setup.
  2. 2Ask your agent for a video
Paste a script, notes or a link and describe the goal, tone and branding. The agent storyboards the scenes and builds the animation on its own.
  3. 3Review the draft and fix frames
The agent previews frames before delivery and corrects overlaps and rushed scenes. Open the returned link on any screen to watch the result.
  4. 4Request changes in plain words
Ask for a slower intro or a different chart colour and only those scenes are rebuilt. Timing and assets can also be adjusted by hand in the Studio.
  5. 5Export your MP4
Download the finished video in landscape 16:9 or vertical 9:16 at HD or Full HD, with no watermark. Stock assets used are charged once at export.
