Hedera AI Studio is a developer suite for building AI agents that act on the Hedera network with verifiable, logged actions. It combines an open-source Agent Kit, a browser-based Agent Lab and an MCP Server for frameworks like LangGraph and the Vercel AI SDK.
Hedera AI Studio is a developer suite for building AI agents that act on the Hedera network and leave a verifiable record of what they do. It targets the common complaint that AI systems behave like black boxes that are hard to audit and govern. By tying agent actions to Hedera services, the studio aims to make those actions traceable and accountable in real-world settings. The suite is organized into modules. The open-source Hedera AI Agent Kit uses an adapter and plugin architecture, and lets agents manage accounts, transfer HBAR, create and mint tokens, submit consensus messages, query mirror nodes, and run airdrops. Agent Lab is a browser-based workspace in the Hedera Developer Portal where developers pick an agent type, framework and execution mode, then design and test an agent on Hedera Testnet. A Hedera MCP Server exposes a unified interface so models such as Claude or tools such as Cursor can query data, create transactions and take actions on the network. In practice, a developer imports the plugins needed, chooses which tools the agent may call, and wires it into an existing stack. The kit supports JavaScript, LangGraph, general LLMs, the Vercel AI SDK and MCP, and works for fully autonomous agents or human-in-the-loop flows. The studio states that no smart contracts need to be written or audited. Agent activity can be logged using Hedera Consensus Service standards, and fixed transaction fees are positioned as a way to keep costs predictable at scale. A separate agentic payments partner program gives enterprises early access and proof-of-concept support for payment-enabled agents, and documentation covers x402, which lets agents attach Hedera transaction receipts to HTTP requests. Case studies include EQTY Lab's verifiable compute, Neuron's machine-to-machine commerce and an Accenture public sector deployment. Compared with general agent frameworks, Hedera AI Studio is narrower: it is aimed at teams that already want a Hedera-based ledger as the trust layer, rather than those seeking a standalone agent builder.
