Learn moreA plug-in home computer that runs a private Hermes AI agent

MangoTart is a US$599 one-time-purchase agent computer that ships with Agent OS, the Hermes agent and a real browser preconfigured. It runs a private, always-on agent on hardware you own, using your own model account.
MangoTart is a small physical computer built for one job: running a personal AI agent around the clock. It ships with MangoTart Agent OS installed, which bundles the Hermes agent, a real browser runtime, and a local dashboard. The buyer plugs in power and a network cable, opens the address printed on the device's sticker, follows a setup wizard, and connects a model account. From there the agent takes instructions in plain language from the dashboard. The target user is someone who wants an always-on agent without maintaining the infrastructure underneath it. Typical workflows named on the site include daily briefings pulled from inboxes and feeds, browser tasks such as research, forms and downloads, monitoring of prices, listings, jobs or competitors, and document processing with reusable memory. Because the unit runs independently of a daily laptop, scheduled and long-running tasks continue as long as power, network, the model provider and connected services stay available. In practice the product is a one-time hardware purchase with no MangoTart subscription. The model side is bring-your-own: a ChatGPT subscription through Codex OAuth, or any Hermes-supported provider with an API key. Hermes state, credentials and the browser profile live on the device, though data still flows to whichever provider or website a workflow touches. The console offers status views, a live browser view, update diagnostics, local backup export and import, optional encrypted cloud backups, and automatic rollback of failed software updates. The listed hardware is 8 GB of RAM, a 250 GB NVMe SSD, gigabit wired networking and an aluminum body. Among alternatives, the site positions it against running an agent on a daily laptop, a VPS, a DIY Raspberry Pi, a Mac mini or old PC, and hosted SaaS agents. The pitch is that the setup, updates, browser runtime and recovery are already done, in exchange for upfront cost and a narrower scope. Support for Claude Code, Codex and OpenClaw on the same Agent OS is listed as coming soon, and remote console access is not yet available.
