Movie Maker Create is a browser-based front end for xAI's Grok Imagine video model. It produces clips of six to fifteen seconds at 480p, 720p or 1080p, with synchronized audio generated in the same pass and no watermark or provenance marking on the output. The app itself is free and needs no install or account. Generation is paid for directly to xAI through the user's own API key, so there is no subscription and no per-clip cap from the tool. All four Grok Imagine modes are available from the first session: text to video, image to video, reference images, and extension of an existing clip. The reference mode is aimed at keeping a person, object or style consistent across separate generations, which matters for anyone building a story with recurring characters. Up to fourteen reference photos can be attached to a clip, with the most important seven sent to the model and the rest listed by name. Version 5.2 also adds frame pinning on the Enhanced model, letting a creator fix the last frame and up to four in-clip frames. Failed generations are not charged, large phone photos are resized in the browser, and the app warns when a source photo and chosen aspect ratio disagree. Output is H.264 MP4 with AAC audio. Clips remain on xAI's servers for thirty days, so downloads need to happen promptly. The tool suits hobbyists, solo filmmakers and small creative teams already working with Grok. It sits beside Movie Maker Edit for assembling clips into a film, and the maker also offers a Veo-based sibling for a second engine.
