What is plori?

plori is a beta cloud AI agent with a dedicated machine, persistent disk, preinstalled developer tools and memory. It works in the browser or can be driven by Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and other MCP clients, and builds scheduled workflows.

plori is a cloud AI agent that runs inside its own dedicated environment instead of a throwaway sandbox. Each agent gets a persistent disk, a preinstalled toolset that includes a shell, Python, Node, git and web search, and long-term memory of the projects it works on. Files written last week are still available the next time the agent wakes, which the homepage demonstrates by having an agent save test output, go to sleep, and later read that output back from disk without re-running anything. The product is aimed at developers and technical operators who want to delegate long or recurring jobs. It can be used directly in the browser, or driven from another agent. plori exposes a single MCP endpoint, so Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, ChatGPT or any MCP client can create and control agents and workflows, scoped to the account authorized in the browser. A command line package is also offered for people who prefer a terminal, and connection is done with either browser pairing or an API key placed in the client's MCP configuration. In practice, a user starts a task such as a test suite or a migration, and the agent works in its environment and reports back when finished. Routines can be described once in conversation, and the agent turns them into standing workflows that fire on a schedule or a webhook, even while the agent itself is asleep. Anything the agent builds can be served from a directory on its disk at a plori.site address, private by default, and the site stays up while the agent sleeps. Every agent runs on its own dedicated machine, and only a user's own agents share the account disk. The site publishes a library of worked examples, including X and Reddit research briefs, SEO page analysis, webhook leads into Google Sheets, Telegram channel digests and X post monitoring with Discord alerts. Compared with ephemeral coding sandboxes and hosted chat assistants, plori's distinguishing trait is state that survives between sessions. The service is labeled beta.

How do you use plori?

  1. 1Try an agent in the browser
Open the agent page and start a free session. The homepage says the trial needs no signup and comes with a small amount of free usage.

  2. 2Connect your own agent over MCP
Copy the setup prompt for Claude Code, Codex or Cursor, or add the MCP server entry with an API key. Pair the client in the browser to authorize your account.

  3. 3Verify the connection
Follow the Claude Code example, which confirms the pairing with a list_agents call that creates no agent and uses no credits.
    plori — Verify the connection
  4. 4Delegate a long job
Ask the agent to run a test suite or migration in its own environment. It keeps results on its persistent disk and reports back when done.
  5. 5Turn a routine into a workflow
Describe a recurring task once and let the agent build it as a standing workflow that runs on a schedule or a webhook.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Persistent disk and memory mean files and project context survive between sessions instead of resettingAI
  • Single MCP endpoint lets Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and other clients delegate work to itAI
  • Agents can turn a described routine into scheduled or webhook-triggered workflows that run while it sleepsAI
  • Each agent runs on its own dedicated machine, with nothing shared between accountsAI
  • Many worked examples show real jobs with step-by-step flows and verification notesAI

Cons

  • Still labeled beta, so behavior and features may change and stability is not guaranteedAI
  • Usage is credit based, and the homepage does not publish paid plan prices, making costs hard to estimateAI
  • Best suited to technical users comfortable with MCP, CLIs and shell tools; less approachable for casual usersAI
  • Several examples depend on third-party accounts and OAuth grants such as Google, Reddit or X, adding setup workAI
