Learn moreAn agentic desktop browser with skills, multi-model chat and tab tools

Tabbit Browser is a productivity tool. Tabbit is a free desktop browser for macOS and Windows with a built-in AI agent, a library of site-specific Skills, many selectable models and tab organization, aimed at research, reading and automating routine web tasks.
Tabbit is a desktop browser built around an AI agent rather than a chatbot bolted onto a sidebar. Anything open in the browser can be handed to the assistant as context: tabs, PDFs, bookmarks, screenshots, highlighted page elements and local files. The agent then reads the material, plans the work and runs it, which makes the browser useful for reading, research and repetitive web chores instead of only for answering questions about a page. A large part of the product is its Skills system. The homepage advertises around 2000 agentic skills aimed at the sites people use daily, with examples such as triaging a video feed, pulling quotes from a long podcast, exporting ChatGPT threads to Markdown, tabulating data from papers, explaining a large pull request, or auditing subscriptions from email receipts. Users can also turn a recurring prompt into their own Skill and call it with a slash command. Multi-agent roles (research, operator, writer, analyst) each load the relevant Skills, and site MCPs and agent memory sit alongside them. A command line tool, Tabbit CLI, is documented in a separate quick start post. Model choice is broad. Tabbit lists current releases from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Moonshot, Zhipu, DeepSeek, ByteDance, Alibaba, MiniMax and LongCat, and says new models arrive within roughly 12 hours of launch. The active model is shown at the top of each chat. According to the FAQ, prompts go only to the chosen provider, routed to servers in Singapore or the user's region, while the developer, Lumina Lab, does not relay or log conversations. History, bookmarks, highlights and chats are encrypted on the device, and the company cites a SOC 2 Type I examination. The browser runs on macOS 12 and later (Apple Silicon and Intel) and Windows 10 and later, with Linux and mobile only on the roadmap. History, bookmarks, extensions and settings can be imported from Safari, Edge or Chrome in one step. It suits knowledge workers, researchers, creators and developers who want AI integrated into daily browsing, and it competes with other AI-native browsers as well as with assistant extensions added to a conventional browser.
