Clasa AI is an education tool. Clasa AI grades essays against an uploaded rubric or written instructions, returning criterion scores, editable annotated feedback, a shareable PDF report and optional sentence-level AI detection in 31 languages.
Clasa AI is a browser-based essay grader that scores written work against a rubric or a set of instructions supplied by the person doing the marking. A user pastes text or uploads a file, picks an education level from elementary school to professional, optionally states the question the writing was meant to answer, and runs the grade. The result is an overall grade, a score for each criterion and annotated comments that explain the reasoning behind the numbers. The rubric is the center of the workflow. It can be uploaded as a PDF, document, spreadsheet or image, reused from a previously saved copy, or created with the site's rubric maker. When no rubric exists, plain written instructions steer the evaluation instead. Criteria carry weights and performance levels, such as a thesis and argument criterion worth 30 percent, so every paper is held to the same standard from the first to the last. Each comment can be edited before it reaches a student, and the finished report exports as an annotated PDF. An optional AI detection pass sits beside the grade. It analyzes writing sentence by sentence, with a closer phrase-level view, and marks passages as human, mixed or likely AI, along with an overall likelihood score. Essays can be graded in 31 languages, and the tool covers argumentative, synthesis, narrative, literary analysis and research writing, as well as AP Lang practice and college application essays. The audience is wide: teachers and tutors who want faster, more consistent marking, schools aiming for aligned standards across classes, students checking a draft against a rubric, and test-prep or college applicants rehearsing for exams such as SAT, ACT, IELTS and TOEFL. Compared with general writing assistants, it is narrower and more grading-oriented, combining rubric scoring and detection in a single pass. Use starts free without a credit card, and paid monthly or yearly plans begin with a Starter tier aimed at solo teachers.
