LineSVG is a design tool that turns text or images into SVG line art with strokes you can restyle. LineSVG generates editable SVG line art from text prompts or uploaded images, using real vector strokes whose width, color and dashes can be changed afterward.
LineSVG is a web-based generator that produces SVG line art from a written description or an uploaded drawing. Its central claim is that the output consists of genuine vector strokes rather than filled outlines shaped like lines, so stroke weight, color and dash patterns remain adjustable after the drawing is finished. Color strokes, fills and gradients can coexist in one file, and some elements are deliberately kept as fills. The workspace has three modes: text to SVG, image to SVG and an SVG editor. A user types a prompt or drops in a PNG, JPG or WebP file (up to 20 MB), picks an aspect ratio and a style such as pure lines, cut-ready shapes or color layers, then watches paths stream onto the canvas as they are generated. A code tab exposes the SVG markup. Afterward, sliders and controls change line width, color and dashes, and the result can be downloaded as SVG or PNG or copied as code. The editor tool also accepts any existing SVG and can apply described edits such as recoloring or removing elements. Separate landing tools preset the prompt, output type and ratio for common scenarios: line art generation, photo to line art, image to SVG, sketch to SVG and one line drawing. The blog covers practical follow-up work such as importing files into Figma, Illustrator, Inkscape and Cricut Design Space, and preparing files for laser cutting, engraving and foil. It suits designers, crafters, makers using plotters or cutters, and developers who want lightweight vector illustrations. Image conversion is a reinterpretation rather than a pixel trace, so proportions and small details can shift, and clean drawings on plain backgrounds work best. Compared with classic auto-tracing tools, LineSVG trades fidelity for editability. Compared with general image generators, it outputs structured vector files instead of raster pictures. Pricing is credit based, with a free tier of welcome credits and monthly plans above it.
