What is MakeSong?

MakeSong is a lyric video generator tool that turns text or lyrics into royalty-free songs in seconds. MakeSong is a web app that generates royalty-free songs from text prompts or lyrics, with vocals or instrumental, plus vocal removal, song extension, lyric videos and music video tools.

MakeSong is a browser-based AI music studio centered on a text-to-song and lyrics-to-song generator. A user types a description or pastes lyrics, picks a style or genre, sets duration and creativity, and the model (currently V6, with V5.5 and V5 also available) returns a finished track with vocals or as an instrumental. Generation runs on credits, with one song costing 3 credits. The output can be downloaded as lossless MP3 or WAV, and the platform states that commercial use is supported, with a commercial license available for download on paid plans. Around the core generator, MakeSong bundles a set of finishing tools. There is a lyric generator for writing words from a theme or mood, a vocal remover and instrumental splitter for working with uploaded audio, extend and cover song functions, and a replace section editor for fixing part of a track. Newer modules push into video: an AI music video generator, a lip sync singing video tool, a lyric video generator, an AI dance generator, and Seedance 2.0. An image generator is also included on paid tiers. This makes it a broader production suite than a pure song generator. The tool is aimed at independent musicians, content creators needing background music for YouTube or social clips, game developers scoring scenes, podcasters, and advertisers producing jingles. Hobbyists can start without a subscription, while paid plans add private generations, priority queueing, concurrent jobs (2 on Standard, 4 on Premium), and storage. Among AI music tools it competes on breadth rather than deep DAW integration: there is no mention of stem export beyond vocal removal or of plugin connections to editing software. The realistic role is fast, low-cost draft music and simple videos, with final mixing and mastering handled elsewhere.
