Learn moreTurns PDFs, documents, images, audio and URLs into clean Markdown

Markovo is a content generation tool that turns PDFs, documents, images, audio and URLs into clean Markdown. Markovo converts PDFs, Office files, images, audio, video soundtracks and URLs into clean Markdown bundles with source maps and quality reports, via web app, API, CLI or MCP, on a credit-based plan with a free tier.
Markovo is a file-to-Markdown converter built to prepare source material for notes, research and AI workflows. It accepts PDF, DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, EPUB, Notion exports, CSV, HTML, plain text, images, audio, video soundtracks and public URLs, and returns structured Markdown instead of raw extracted text. The aim is to keep useful content and original context while stripping page clutter, so the result can be pasted into an LLM prompt, a knowledge base or a draft. Each conversion produces more than a single text file. A completed bundle can contain the Markdown output, extracted images and assets, a source map, a quality report, metadata and a checksummed manifest. That makes results reviewable: tables stay aligned, figures keep their captions and relative links, detected formulas are written as LaTeX, and image OCR keeps the original picture beside the text. The site states plainly that OCR and formula output should be checked against the source, and that digital PDFs and ordinary structured text are the strongest routes today. In practice, a user drops a file or pastes a link on the web app, sees a Credit estimate before anything runs, and downloads the result. Failed jobs cost nothing. The same account, Credit balance and history also work through an API, a command-line tool and an MCP server, so developers can embed conversion in a product, script it over local files, or let an AI agent call it directly. Uploaded sources are removed after a terminal result, and files are not used for training. Markovo suits researchers, writers, developers and teams who regularly feed documents to language models or build document pipelines. It sits between general-purpose converters and heavier document-parsing services: pricing is credit-based with a small free tier, and its emphasis is on auditable output and agent-ready access. Video support covers the audio track only, and several formats require signing in before download.
